New Musical Settings for our Masses
Our parish choirs are in the process of learning
new musical settings of the Mass. As it has been many years since we have changed our Mass settings we are very excited & enthusiastic about this change.
Although the music will at first be unfamiliar to you, our parishioners, we hope you will be patient & as you become familiar with the new music & learn to sing it as enthusiastically as you sing the current Mass.
We will be introducing two settings;
- The Mass of Philip Neri by American composer Paul F. Jernberg & St. Anne’s Mass by Scottish composer James MacMillian. The Mass of Philip Neri will be sung at the following Masses: 5:00 pm Saturday, 9:00, Noon and 7:00 pm Sunday. The St. Anne’s Mass will be sung at the 10:30 Sunday Mass.
The new Masses will be introduced as indicated:
- Sunday October 4 10:30 am St. Anne's Mass
- Saturday October 11 5:00 pm Mass of Philip Neri
The Sunday Noon & 7:00 pm Masses will introduce The Mass of Philip Neri during the next six weeks.
We hope that you grow to love the new settings as much as we, the singers, have come to embrace them.
