Because of your generosity, greater impact is taking place across the diocese. In Year 1 of the Multiply the Hope Matching Campaign:
• $4 million matched for parish loans
• $3 million matched for repairs and maintenance
This means parishes are receiving support in times of need, critical repairs are moving forward, & communities are growing stronger in their life & mission.
Multiply the Hope continues through the end of 2027, & even though the initial response has been strong, $4.9M in matching funds remains available for parishes across the Diocese.
Bishop McGrattan has encouraged each parish to take part in this once-in-a-generation initiative by fully embracing the campaign.

Roses will be sold on the Mother's Day weekend, May 9 & 10. Volunteers are needed to help with sales after masses. There will be a sign up form next week for any individuals, couples or families that would like to sell roses.

The St. Bonaventure Knights of Columbus are holding a Mother’s Day Family BBQ Saturday, May 9th following the 5pm mass in the hall downstairs.
All are welcome to join in fellowship and celebration of the Mothers of St. Bonaventure, This is a free event. If you wish to make a donation towards the Knights' charitable giving initiatives, that would be most appreciated.

Many thanks to the youth & families for coming out for our first Ablaze Family Event!
It was a lovely time visiting with each other over conversation, food, games, crafts, & a movie. We look forward to hosting more events in the near future.

The mission of Ablaze Family Ministries is for events like these & other parish experiences (like the recent Knights of Columbus pancake breakfast & the Divine Mercy Sunday afternoon prayers & celebration) to draw more young people & families to feel a sense of belonging in our parish & wider community.
Thus, we work together as a parish family to bring others to a more active participation, knowledge of the faith & discipleship in our Catholic Church.

Our Ablaze Youth (Grades 6-8 & 9-12) are looking forward to playing basketball & other games at St. Bonaventure School Gym this Friday night, April 17! We will meet as usual at the parish at 6:30 pm and head over to the school shortly after we gather.

The St. Bonaventure Scholarship Society provides scholarships for Catholic Students from St. Bonaventure Parish who are graduating from Calgary Catholic High Schools.
To be eligible, you must be a graduating grade 12 student who is enrolling in a post-secondary program.
The $1000 award will be made by the selection committee that considers church involvement, financial need, academic achievement & extra-curricular /community involvement.
The Scholarship Application is below, & can be dropped off at the Parish Office.
If you are interested in supporting our scholarship efforts, donations can be made by e-transfer to Stbvscholarship@gmail.com or by cash/cheque to the parish office. Charitable donation receipts will be issued. Please be sure to give us your name & address so we can provide the receipt.
